Welcome to EOL Bingo
You can create or edit games, print bingo cards, or start a game from this page. If you have a game code from another caller, you can join a game that has started.

 

To create new games you need to register for a free EOL Education account.

Online Bingo Setup
Once your game has loaded, give out the game code that appears below to your players. When they enter the game, you will see active players in the left sidebar. Click the Start Game button to begin an online game once all players are listed.

How to Play

EOL Bingo can be played online or by printing out player and caller cards. The instructions below are for online play.

Callers:

  1. Click on the Start link for your game.
  2. Wait until the game information is loaded. Please be patient as this can take a minute or two! You will then see a Game Code that you can give out to players.
  3. As players join the game online, you will see their names in the left sidebar.
  4. Click on the Start Game button when you are ready to start your game.
  5. When a player has matched all 16 images on their card, a notice will appear showing the winner's name.

Players:

  1. Click on the 'Join a Game' link.
  2. Enter the Game Code provided by the game caller.
  3. Enter a player name for yourself in the form.
  4. Click on the 'Join' button.
  5. When the caller reveals a new card that you have on your player card, click the match on your card.
  6. In this bingo game, you must match all 16 pictures to win.

Bingo uses collections of species images that are created on the EOL site. For more information about creating collections, please visit this help page.

Please note that Bingo uses collections of images, not taxon pages.

Here are the steps to create a new game:

  1. If you have an account, please login first. If not, please create a new account.
  2. Once you have signed in, click on the 'Create new Game' button.
  3. Enter a title for your game and the collection ID in the form and click the 'Create the Game!' button. The collection ID can be found at the end of the URL when you are viewing it.
