Explorer Species Interactions

The EOL Ecosystem Explorer provides a easy way to create engaging graphs of species interactions within an ecosystem. While still in development, you can view and interact with some example ecosystems below.

The table below lists example ecosystems to explore. Use the Start link to open an ecosystem.

Create an Ecosystem

The Ecosystem Explorer tool uses collections of species that are created on the EOL site. For more information about creating collections, please visit this help page.

Here are the steps to create a new Ecosystem:

  1. If you have an account, please login first. If not, please create a new account.
  2. Once you have signed in, click on the 'Add a new ecosystem' link.
  3. Fill in the form to describe your ecosystem. The collection ID can be found at the end of the URL when you are viewing it.
